ABOUT

More than a chorus. A community

Vox Idaho is a choral organization rooted in the belief that music builds belonging. We gather singers and audiences together around story-driven, heartfelt songs, and in doing so, create community that outlasts the final note.

Founded in Boise, Vox Idaho is home to Lumina Treble Chorus and the future home of more ensembles, more voices, and more stories worth telling.

Everything we do—how we rehearse, what we perform, who we welcome—flows from this single belief.

Create belonging through making music.

Lindsay Whittig

Lindsay Whittig has been making music in the Treasure Valley her whole life. She grew up singing in church choir alongside her dad and became an avid musician in elementary school, a band and choir kid who never lost the need to create. That need, she has come to understand, never goes away. It just needs a home.

She found that home in choral music. Lindsay holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music Performance from the College of Idaho and a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Administration from Northwest Nazarene University. She conducted at Centennial High School for twelve years, Boise High School, and the Meridian Symphony. She clinics choir programs at high schools across the Treasure Valley, adjudicates choral festivals, and has performed with Boise Music Week and Huckleberry Star Theater.

In 2015 she turned that lifelong passion into something new, founding a chorus that would give singers in Boise a welcoming, independent space to make music and build community together. What started with eighteen singers has grown into Lumina Treble Chorus and Vox Idaho.

Vox Idaho and Lumina are Lindsay's answer to something she has understood since childhood. A place where the choir and band kids can rediscover their love of creating music, find their people, and remember why they sang in the first place. Leading this group is a celebration of that creative magic.

When she's not on the podium, Lindsay is at home with her family raising alpacas, goats, chickens, rabbits, and cows. She brings the same care and intention to both.

We're looking for people who love music, want to grow, and are ready to be part of something that feels like home. Lumina welcomes treble voices of all identities into a community built on joyful music-making, genuine support, and the belief that everyone belongs here.

Auditions are held in early August before our season begins. Come add your voice to ours.

Where voices become one.
